Saskatoon Dog Rescue operates entirely through the support of our network of volunteer foster homes. This means that we don't have a shelter or one physical location where you can meet our available dogs prior to submitting an application. Should you be interested in one of our available dogs, please submit an application. Don't worry, a meet and greet will be arranged prior to the adoption, so you can be sure our furry friend is a good fit for you and your family.

Our dogs come to us from an array of difference backgrounds. We often don't know much about their background prior to entering our care. However, each dog is taken to a veterinarian to ensure they are physically, mentally, and behaviorally healthy prior to being put up for adoption. Our foster homes also provide our dogs with socialization exposure to other dogs and other people to ensure they can co-exist peacefully. If any other background information is known about your foster pup, we will always share it with you.

New adoptable dogs are posted to our website every Thursday between 8:00 am - 12:00pm. Suitable applicants are contacted on a first-come, first-served basis. We recommend checking our website every Thursday morning, and having your application answers prepared in advance.
